Winneshiek County Emergency Management is seeking to hire two full-time 911
Telecommunicators. This position will answer 911 emergency calls and non-emergency calls.
The candidate must be able to obtain accurate, essential information to process each call
according to established protocols. Telecommunicator candidates must be able to multi-task,
make important decisions quickly, handle incoming calls, process information promptly while
under stress, operate appropriate radio channels, and operate various computer applications and
work well in a team environment. Additionally, candidates must be able to work various shifts,
holidays and weekends. Previous Telecommunicator experience in not required. Applications
