Public Programs

The Lake Meyer Nature Center's Sunday programs are free and start at 2:00 PM unless otherwise noted.  The nature center is open to general visitors these same days from 1:00-5:00 PM.  In case of severe weather, please stay tuned to DC 100.5 or 104.7 KVIK for cancellations.

MARCH

March 28 - Waterfowl viewing at Cardinal Marsh (1:15 PM from Lake Meyer or 2:00 at SE marsh parking lot)

APRIL

April 1- Easter egg dying with wild plant extracts (4:00 PM start)

April 25 - Free tree day (one seedling per family, please)

MAY

May 2 - Woodland wildflower walk

May 9 - Spring warbler walk

May 16 -  Spring frog songs (8:00 PM start)

May 23 - Shorebird viewing at Cardinal Marsh (1:15 PM from Lake Meyer or 2:00 at SE marsh parking lot)

May 30- Spring Wildflowers on Hayden Prairie (12:45 PM from Lake Meyer or 2:00 PM at Hayden Prairie)
