Celebrate!
Winneshiek County Conservation Board is excited to be celebrating 50 years of conservation in 2008! This year also marks the 40th anniversary of the building of Lake Meyer. Consequently, we are offering a wide variety of programs and activities throughout the year so that you can celebrate with us. We hope to see you soon!
Running on the Wild Side 5K

Winneshiek Wild Educational Series
Winneshiek County Conservation Board has teamed up with Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC) to offer another educational opportunity. The Winneshiek Wild Ed Series for this year will cover: Basic Tree ID, Rocks & Fossils, and making decorations from nature. Larry Reis (WCCB Natural Resource Mgr/Naturalist) will be instructing. Public Programs
The following programs will be held at the Lake Meyer Nature Center. Materials and equipment to be provided, free of charge, unless otherwise noted. In case of severe weather, please stay tuned to DC 100.5 or 104.7 KVIK for cancellations.

October 19 - Sparrow Birding at Chipera Prairie - 1:30 PM to carpool from Lake Meyer/2:00 @ prairie

November 9 - Fall and Holiday Decorations from Nature - 2:00 PM @ Nature Center
