WINNESHIEK COUNTY LANDFILL


The Winneshiek County landfill is county-owned and operated by the Winneshiek County Area Solid Waste Agency as a non-hazardous landfill. The landfill serves the following areas: Clayton County, Howard County, Winneshiek County, City of Postville and Fillmore County in Minnesota. The current tipping fee is $62/ton. Household appliances and TVs are accepted for an $18 charge and are sent on for demanufacturing.

Open Monday, Wednesday, Fridays from 7am to 2pm. No recycle containers. Site closed on holidays, open next scheduled day. Fort Atkinson Site: Fort Atkinson Couty Shop at 2656 150th Street. Open Thursdays from 7:30am to 2:30pm. No recycle containers. Site closed on holidays, open next scheduled day. Ridgeway Site: Ridgeway County Shop on East Street. Open 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month from 7am to 2pm. No recycle containers. Site closed on holidays, open next scheduled day. Ossian Site: North of intersection at W42 and W46. Open Tuesdays from 7am to 2pm. No recycle containers. Site closed on holidays, open next scheduled day. Bluffton Site: 2619 West Ravine Road - at Bluffton Store parking lot. Open Mondays from 7am to 2pm. No recycle containers. Site closed on holidays, open next scheduled day. Kendalville Site: 3453 324th Avenue. Operated by Hawkeye Sanitation.
